I found these two very nice videos about Rapid City that someone may enjoy watching. Although I wish they had used something other than the alley on that first one, oh well. I like both of these channels for their walking, and driving tours. Enjoy.

Here are a couple more videos I liked. God willing, I'll be leaving for RC the end of September. If anyone has any videos they would like to add please do so.

And some of the close in hiking right in town.

If you lived in Rapid City there are lots of day trips you could make. I can't wait.

The town of Custer has the best rated hamburger in the USA. Who knew. This couple has the best foodie reviews. I'm always hungry after watching them. Too bad the Wind Cave was closed. I also noticed sadly that a bison calf crossing the road with the herd had a very bad limp. I hope the little guy has healed since then. Poor baby.

Since the Wind Cave was closed in the previous video I found this nice tour of the park for you all. I'll have to make sure to visit this place after I move to RC.

This looks like fun. I like the gardens too. So pretty.

Default Reptile Gardens

Here is a video to go with that Reptile Gardens link in the post above. It is located about 5 miles south of Rapid City. I don't think it is open in winter. But I sure plan on going sometime next season. So much to do in the area I am pretty psyched about moving there the end of September. I am a little nervous about moving my dog, cat, and me there in my cargo van. I've done long moves before, but I'm 74 now, and not as confident as I once was. I'm moving on a budget. Will sleep at truck stops on the way like I did moving from NC to Oregon in 2018. I'm trusting God for a safe trip.

The Badlands and Black Hills are definitely good reasons to visit South Dakota.

Yeah, they sure are a good reason to visit. And they are so very different from each other for a nice change. I might even be tempted to visit Wall Drug for a day trip just for fun. In 1979 my daughter, who was 9 at the time, and I stopped there when moving from Connecticut to Montana, and then to Colorado. I don't remember much about it, but it's packed with cool diversions. Probably much different now than in 79, I would expect.

My 2 pets, and I will be moving to RC to live. Countdown till leaving, one week from tomorrow, Sept 30th. Gosh I'm nervous, lol.

I've not yet visited South Dakota, but the geography of South Dakota certainly provides reasons to visit.

People moving to Rapid City, I find it very fitting. Plenty of good hiking nearby. I hope you do well there.
