Hello,

I visited the Rapid City area back in September and loved the Black Hills. I was there to check out Wyoming because I was looking for some property to buy for retirement, which is still several years away, but decided against that. I have looked at several proprties in the Custer, Spearfish, and Hill City area. Can anyone offer any suggestions on each city? While I have no current issues, medical would be important to me and taxes are also important. I saw some land at Canyon Rim Ranch but can't really find anything about the place. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

First question is are you a liberal? That seems pretty important there...otherwise the landscape is good etc.

Absolutely not. Die hard conservative and Trump supporter. I love the scenery but I know there is more to just scenery.

I know at least one registered Democrat who moved with her husband to Custer, SD.
So, are you saying that Custer is a more moderate area of South Dakota?

Unless you go looking for people that take politics way too serious you will not find many. The biggest thing is that those place roll up the streets when it isn't tourist season.
