Grandfather Search and Scandal (Ipswich: live, county, dance)

Hello:

I'm searching for any information about Harold Hess, born around 1906, who, at the age of 20, sweet talked his way into the heart (and other parts) of my grandmother at a barn dance 90 years ago. They lived in the Ipswich, SD area, Edmonds county.

I doubt anyone will be too upset if we unearth this scandal, but some folks might find some relatives they didn't know they had if we do.
