I know someone that recently married and he’s 52 and she’s 39 and they just had their first baby. They may have one more. People are having their families later than in the past.

People can't afford babies early in life these days.

There were 9 of us kids, and when the youngest was born, my parents were 50 and 41. I wouldn't worry as much about the capability of the man to make the woman pregnant, as much as the financial responsibilities of raising a kid to age 18, when the father would be in his 60s'. Without a really good income the father might have to delay retirement, and who knows how much college will cost then?
