TC Palm put out two articles in reference to the revitalization of Downtown Fort Pierce. The first is a piece put out by Anthony Westbury regarding downtown businesses working together to stay open and promote a sense of place and activity:

The second is in reference to the spill over effect the Sunrise Theater has had on DTFP businesses:

I can't wait to see what will ultimately end up at the trailer park in Jensen Beach. I read about it in the paper this week- pretty interesting!

A Racetrack is coming to PSL Blvd between Airoso and Bayshore. I just found out about it on TC Palm and it looks like other local gas stations aren't too happy about it. Plans are for a 6,000 sq ft 24hr convenience store and a whopping 24 pumps. :-|

Port St. Lucie Council approves controversial Port St. Lucie Boulevard gas station » TCPalm.com
Yeah, it got finally approval 2 weeks ago I believe. Although I am looking forward to seeing the Panamera dealership bullldozed, I am not looking forward to another gas station. PSL blvd does not need any more stations, and the traffic in that area is rough already. We'll see how well it goes, but I can guarantee you won't see any cheaper gas! So what's the point?

The plaza under construction just north of the Darwin/PSL Blvd intersection will have a subway along with the Family Dollar.

And a check cashing store. Yeah... I see that place going downhill quickly after opening!
