Well the way Publix works it will be approximately 11 months from now before it will be built and open. They are very slow. I had a friend who used to work for the company that built Walmarts. Their model was a new store every 30 days. That was from the first concrete truck arrival until the grand opening.
Letter of support from Publix for Fairgreen Rd. Looks like that new Publix continues to move forward. I've been unable to find site plans. Latest info I have is from a Hometown News article indicating the store will be 45,600 sq ft., dual pharmacy drive thru, on 8.64 acres between commerce center drive and crosstown pkwy. It will be more traditional in size and not as large as the Darwn Square Publix.
Looks like Southern Grove is shifting its development to include much more research, retail, and warehouse space to the tune of over 6 million sq ft. The housing component remains the same and they are paying taxes. TCPalm (that local tabloid) indicated they are paying taxes and that they're likely to move forward. Southern Grove is also a CRA.

So this will be just south of Tradition...like off Becker or Something?
West of I-95, south of Tradition Pkwy, North of Becker Rd, and East of the future Community Parkway.
Did some research on it and figured out exactly what it was all about. I bike from my house to Tradition thru all that undeveloped area. It looks like it's going to be awhile before any of that becomes anything.
