Of course you aren't "buying" it.

You already bought what Lee Atwater sold.

stop with the excuses. have you ever lived in the inner city? when and if you do, in and among the urban poor, you will have a different perspective. that is not a statement on race - in general terms, its a different way of living because those neighborhoods have the worst elements you'd want to live next to, of any race.

some inner city neighborhoods suffered decline because of drugs and crime. people move away because of it. very basic argument, sure, but the thing about constantly blaming powers greater than us all is just a tired, whiny story. every man can do something to better himself and his family. if not, he just isnt taking full initiative.

I'm not making excuses for his buying into Lee Atwater. You don't seem to understand what I am saying and are responding with a script of some sort.

Me too. Heard the name, but he was before my time for the most part. I was pretty young and further left in my younger more ignorant years as are many. Maybe I will study him. Seems like he was involved with the Bush's and Regan, both of which I didn't vote for. Still don't care for any of those presidents. but they are better than some.

Funny how people think I am some far right person. I guess because I like reality and statistics that makes it look as though I am Alex P Keaton or something.

no, it was not a "script". could it be my life experiences, reasoning, and observation have some merit? some harsh truths?
i dont just take what sounds good, or what i want to hear, and recite it as gospel, like the social progressives and the far right wingers do.

It looks like Pittsburgh City Council is going to squash the Wilkinsburg merger proposal.

Well it is being discussed. Don’t think it will happen yet, but someday. I wish they would merge as I think it would do better with city taxes. Maybe Gainey can promote it. Don’t know what he thinks.

Pittsburgh Council rejecting Wilkinsburg annexation. Not very forward thinkers, but that is to be expected. Really not the brightest bunch.
