Sad deal. Could be wrong but I think there’s been 6 recent murders.

Aldi to come to Wilkinsburg. I think this store will do VERY well. Big news for Wilkinsburg for sure.

This is actually huge news, but crickets from city people and those that are close to the east end. I realize SCR isn't near here, but there are some that are and it is a pretty big deal. A solid independently owned grocery store that hires people and pays people well in a community that is suffering due to amazingly poor management. wpipkins is in that area and nothing. I suspect he will shop there. I think it is huge, but I actually care about the future of our area. I feel very much alone in that.

My parents and in-laws lived in Wilkinsburg many many decades ago. Some really nice homes there but jeez those taxes are insane. Will Aldi's reuse the existing bldg or tear down? Hopefully a save. Their store is keeping many from going broke due to inflation.

It's a teardown, unfortunately.

The union I work for represented the old building owner (Wimco) before the shop closed, so there's a personal connection.
