I say let all entries stay...if something is obscured, don't matter to me how much of it is. If my shot is of someone whose face is entirely behind a sheer veil, is that 100% of the face behind the veil, or only 25% because the veil is translucent and not transparent...see what I mean?

Whoever wins the next contest, just please make the criteria and definition clearer.

Funny Bulldawgfan! I hadn't even noticed the beer before!
Since I can't enter the contest or at least I don't feel as if it would be right for the one to name the contest to enter, here is a couple more shots that are somewhat obscured. I can find a ton of them in my photos! It surprised me how many I have.

You are right... upon further review, I too have a lot of partially obscured shots.

Oh, cr@p. I didn't see the "50%" rule. I will delete mine. Goes running to room.
Neither did I see that Oh well I haven't entered the contest so I have nothing to delete!

You guys are taking this wayyyyyyyy too serious. I didn't know it would be such a hard subject for some. It doesn't really matter about the 50% since it is making some of you anxious. Just kick back and have fun....life is too short to get up tight over what is 50% or what isn't. Just have fun with it as some people have. Everyone should keep their pictures in as far as I am concerned. They are all fun to look at. A few are really good ones!

I didn't see the 50% requirement. But I hope my picture can still stay in the contest.

If I were entering a picture I most likely would have entered this picture I took of my little grand daughter. It isn't 50% obscured, but I just like this little picture.

2goldens,

On the off chance that you did not receive my direct message, I respectfully request that you remove my entry from the partially obscured contest. After reviewing my picture a little closer, I am afraid it does not meet the criteria required. I zoomed in to 3200% of the original size and counted the bright green pixels then divided by the red-ish pixels and found the green to red ratio only 49.5%. I verified this with the electron microscope and slide rule (both of which I yanked out of storage and dusted off).
I am quite sure that Oklahomasue picked this theme with the normal "get out and have some fun shooting" mentality that has been the core idea behind all contest and assignments on here since I have started visiting this site. Somewhere along the way, however, it became a tad bit serious.

It took me twenty minutes to get the dust bunnies off the electron microscope and another hour to relearn how to use that darn slide rule. Neither which were fun.

Thanx for your cooperation.

Bulldawgfan, I’m impressed! I thought I was the only one who had an electron microscope! Regrettably, I’ve forgotten how to use a dadburn slide rule, and can't find my electron microscope ,( I know its around here somewhere), so at this time I have no way of knowing the exact percentage of obscured versus clear pixels in my photograph. I hope that doesn’t disqualify me to win the 10 million dollar grand prize!
