Hi!! I'm searching for my husband's bio son Jayson. He was born in July of 2005 and was taken from his mother. He was adopted by doctor parents.....approximately 3 years after he was born. He has a sister named Madison (unsure of that spelling) who would be appx a couple years younger than him. His last name on his birth certificate was Seaton.
The adoption was out of Iowa. I'm needing help, as I am overwhelmed with inexperience. Thanks SO much for any help! Reach out with ANY and ALL questions!!

Gonna be a tough search. You don't know his last name and he was a minor up until 8 months ago.

No other info on his adopted parents? Their medical specialty?

Is there a city associated with the adoption?

The adoption was done in Sioux City. I'm trying to talk to the birth mother.....she's not responding to my messages.

I'm not sure how much cooperation will be shown to someone not even related to the child. Did the birth father sign away his rights? Generally, that is what is done. I am not surprised that the birth mother is not responding, and it is very unlikely that she has the information you are looking for if it was a closed adoption.

Some states have registries that a birth parent can post on, and there are other registries for those birth parents that are looking for their children that were adopted, and if the child wishes to contact them, it can come together.

I am the mother of an adopted child. It was a closed adoption. I do check the registries to see if anyone is looking for our son, as I might be open to having them meet. He is an adult with special needs, so I am protective of him. Adoptive parents, like birth parents, are protective of their children. In the case of our son's birth mother, she seemed to be happy enough to learn that he was doing well and know what kind of family he was placed with, and then she moved on with her life. I doubt she would appreciate anyone contacting her and bringing this all back to life again. The birth father had stated that he was not interested in meeting the child at any point. Both signed papers that said they were legally giving up their child.

I would look at what registries might be available, and sign up there, and if the child wants, he could contact your husband in the future. That you are not a birth parent may make it more difficult.

So....this is a WIFE helping her HUSBAND out. It's not like I'm some strange creature just looking him up for zero reason. Jayson's father is the one looking.....I'm basically doing the legwork and helping.
