Hi, idk why I am feeling blue today. Sleeping in a few hours before my shift starts today. Feel blue.
Not a fan of being up at nights it has it's perks. One perk is family time. Usually do 84 hours total in 2 weeks. Home 3 days 1 week and 4 the next. My little one is gone 3 days a week in the AM hours. I have two full days with them one week and three full days with them another week. Then one half day with them a week. Think next Fall will be two full days a week and two half days a week. Then I occasionally have morning breakfast and some evenings dinner with my little one.
If did days I have the same amount of time. Would have no time for breakfast or dinner with them during the week when I work. It's how I remind myself why I should stay on night's.
Just curious any night shift parents and how are you adapting/holding up working nights???
I work shifts and nights to me are almost like torture but I only do them because it is required.
I could work another 10 or so years more if I only worked regular business hours but I plan on retiring next year
because I cannot stomach them anymore.
Unless someone is a "night owl" I would not recommend to anyone.
