Yes, it's quite depressing actually. Some bugs are to be expected when one implements an entirely new system, but it's been long enough now that one wouldn't expect such extended shutdowns so frequently.

The Crosstown would probably be regarded as even worse if they don't get it right upon opening. It has been under construction for almost 12 years...

The Province and Dougie really needs to take stalk in what is going on here. He likes to say the buck stops here and after almost 6 years in power he'd be right. Sure he inherited crap but at this point the finger pointing needs to start coming in the form of how and why the heck these issues seem to be more an Ontario thing and fixing it is priority one. It isn't a good look and the sad thing is the populace is suffering with all these delays and malfunctions hugely. Not to mention the economic impacts.

Ottawa has more LRT expansion projects but Doug Ford has said there won't be any more money from the province until the city gets its house in order with what it's got on the ground at the moment.

It's not just in Ontario. The new LRT line in Edmonton is turning out to be a real disaster too.
