You must be rich and white according to that idiotic article!

If she works from home it is worse: feel sorry for the neighbors

She must be an advocate of slums as well. Paper thin apartment walls where you can hear people screaming at each other, having sex, the occasional rat scurrying through...so earthy and real.

Bet she doesn’t live like she advocates; bet she lives in a quieter part of the city.

Looks like she is a writer selling her books and even the Pulitzer Prize finalist; so does work at home?

Just hope she doesn’t play her music at high volume for the sake of her “ inappropriately quiet for her” neighbors

I grew up in South Florida and have always lived around Hispanic people (primarily Cuban), but I never noticed such widespread inconsiderate behavior down there.
What ? You ever go to a restaurant? You cannot hear yourself talk. My kids used to outfit those low riding Hondas for fun and sell them. Bit that was 20 yrs ago. Again HOA communities don’t allow that noise. The PR community grew from hurricane Maria. Spanish is heard 24/7 now. Venezuelans and Brazilians also have a large population here. Best bet go East with newer developments.

This is not true. A lot of HOAs are overwhelmed by the problems created by this metro area, and have given up enforcement. Preventing noise pollution from a car pipe is the least of their worries.

Background: Family with young adult children. Moved recently to one of the neighborhoods in Saint Cloud off from Narcoossee Rd and we hate it here. Our goal was Lake Nona, but due to the crazy housing market we got priced out of a possible home there. We work from home, our kids are in college. We are hispanic ourselves so this is not about race, more about cultural differences. For example, we do not enjoy dogs left out barking nonstop, loud music, or kids yelling at the top of their lungs at all hours of the day.

Please provide constructive feedback about possible areas.
I can give you lots of areas where you won't find a majority Hispanic. But you'll still have problems with dogs that bark all day because they have separation issues and their owners are too entitled to care about your comfort. And their kids will be screaming and yelling on top of their lungs at all hours of the day, but again - they are precious angels and your discomfort is not their problem.

You'll also hear loud music, but it won't be salsa or Shakira. It'll be K-pop and electronic dance music.

Good luck with your search. Sorry you have bought into the stereotype of your own culture.

What is it that you hate about St. Cloud? Just curious.
