Hi,

My wife and I are relocating to the OKC area in late June 2007. My job will keep us in the area somewhere between 12/24 months. Since this is a temporary move we do NOT want to buy a home/condo. If anyone knows of an owner or property manager looking to rent a NW or SW OKC/Edmund home/condo between $800-1200 per month please reply to this post. Must be in a quiet and safe area. My wife and I are in our late 40's, no kids, no pets, no smoking and have no credit problems

Thanks,

Steve P

I always wonder why people from out of state are so scared of OKC downtown/midtown because there are so many -tons of condos- quiet ares- a lot character- beauty. but people are still stuck on Edmond- there is actually a huge 'white flight' fighting over the areas I mentioned- coming from Edmond at present time. FOR EVERYONE=IF YOU HAVE A JOB IN OR AROUND THE DOWNTOWN AREA OR EVEN CLOSE TO IT -and are set on edmond-GET READY FOR THE WORST TRAFFIC FOR A COMMUTE YOU HAVE EVER SEEN-IF YOU DECIDE ON EDMOND/ MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT WITH THE CURRENT TIMES AND SPIT OUT EDMOND BECAUSE THAT IS ALL THEY KNOW. I would consider exactly where your job is located first/ so you have a short drive/THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT. The NW area would be my only choice of those mentioned.- I would try for The Tiffany highrise on NW expressway/360-founders tower OR hefner highrise- so you can at least enjoy lake hefner and the jogging trails AND A GOOD VIEW. Good Luck- if you can tell me what street or even building you will be relocating- i can give you exact places/prices.

As far as commute goes, the one out of Edmond and Norman/Moore area is pretty bad. We live on the west side of town in the Yukon/Mustang area and although I-40 is under construction, the commute isn't too bad.
Here's a link to some rental homes in the area:
