These kinds of dog and pony shows are just a way to get support from the religious right.

Screw the religious right....they want a Theocracy...that's not what the constitution allows for. This world would be so much better off w/out any religion

39 people in the Ohio House w/out any brains...

Still glad it was voted down. That would have been the fastest way for them to lose control of their power.

The one consistent Democrat agenda item year in and year out: killing the unborn to satisfy the selfish needs of the mothers to be. It started as eugenics by racist genocidal baby killer Margaret Sanger. Now her work is being carried on by the elite liberal class in the name of freedom of choice.

Quote:
The lower down in the scale of human development we go the less sexual control we find. It is said that the aboriginal Australian, the lowest known species of the human family, just a step higher than the chimpanzee in brain development, has so little sexual control that police authority alone prevents him from obtaining sexual satisfaction on the streets. According to one writer, the rapist has just enough brain development to raise him above the animal, but like the animal, when in heat knows no law except nature which impels him to procreate whatever the result. Every normal man and Woman has the power to control and direct his sexual impulse. Men and women who have it in control and constantly use their brain cells in thinking deeply, are never sensual.

Yeah. What's up with those selfish women anyway? Didn't they get the instruction set that says women are supposed to be eternal servants who never get anything else done except breed and clean up other people's slop?

Pregnancy is no picnic. Raising a child is a lot of grungy work. We already have enough free range ill-behaved and unwanted children now. We already have government interfering too much in how parents raise children. We have enough people on Welfare. We don't have factories, and farms are more mechanized, so we don't need a vast workforce of unskilled labor anymore. If a woman doesn't want the kid, then bow out and let her abort it. I think it's fair to let the woman who has to do the work and make changes to her lifestyle and endure at least 24-30 weeks of significant changes to her lifestyle make the decision. Humans get to control their reproduction. ONLY animals don't.

The heartbeat bill sounded like such a ludicrous crackpot idea conceived by fools and hicks, that I am amazed that it was ever taken seriously. But the fact that it was even given a chance shows courtesy and respect, which is more than the antiabortion people show the secular or pro-choice people.

What the vocal antiabortion people are going to find, when push comes to shove, is that there is a very large majority who remain silent but staunchly support pro-choice and the separation of church and state.

Well, even some non-religious persons think that a woman should not be able to kill another living human, even if she did breed it. I don't know. Not being a woman, I'll never have to face the eternal fires of Hell for doing it. So, who am I to say. I do think that just to be fair, the father should also have the right to kill the unborn baby too.

Common sense has prevailed. I am glad this thing did not pass. With this distraction aside, can Ohio's politicians now work on the issues that actually matter to the state?

As long as the GOP has a stranglehold on power, I doubt that very much.

In play with the unborn: the elderly and terminally ill. All three being disregarded as useless and inconvenient while all three are defenseless.
