Hi NWi how do you feel abut life in Valp or crown point or Munster? We have family in Illinois but due to the high costs there are looking into the state of Indiana. Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance

Valpo, Crown Point, and Munster are all very nice places to live. Munster is pretty much just like any other upper-middle class Chicagoland suburb, housing is quite expensive though. Crown Point in my opinion is just as nice as Munster. It's downtown area is very quaint, and it has much more of a small-town feel than Munster. There is housing for any price range there, which is part of why Crown Point is so desirable. However, if you would need to commute to Chicago, it's a bit more of a drive than Munster. Valparaiso is probably the most different of the three. It is much more detached from Chicagoland, it is in a completely different county than Munster and Crown Point. Valpo's downtown also is very nice and quaint, perhaps better than Crown Point. The taxes and housing will be the cheapest in Valparaiso, as it is the farthest out from Chicago and is located in Porter County rather than Lake County. Overall, all three towns are very nice, and you would probably be happy in any of them.
