Hi!

I lived in Wilkes-Barre a few years ago and still have family in the area.

I'm in Berks County now, but planning a baby shower for my cousin in the WB/Scranton area. I'd really like to find an interesting place to have her shower - not the typical 'banquet' restaurant.

Coffeehouses? Tea Rooms? Gardens? anything?

Hoping to hear some ideas from those in the know.

Much Love,
hipmama

Try Greystone Gardens in Clarks Summit. They do High Tea. I also think that the Radisson in downtown Scranton may have a tea but it's been a while so I am not sure anymore.

Looking at July 30th. I know, not much time. Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm making calls and trying to work out the details.

Then a great place - IMO - would be the Grove Theater in Nuangola, PA. It's only 1 mile off of 81...

They have pictures on this website:

Nuangola Grove

It's a different kind of a place to have it and there is Paluch's Catering right across the road.

July 30th? Of next year? That's plenty of time!

We are having my daughters at a chinese buffet on Long Island...the nice thing is everyone can find something they like to eat so it will suit everyones special diet needs. Not the most upscale setting...but it is a trade off. They have a private room and we have the place for 3 hours.
