So the news who quoted the numbers of stores closing a location directly because of crime is fake news ? Or do we pick and choose which statistics we want to believe ?

Well the video in the OPs link shows signs of "closed stores" redirecting to their online stores -- in other words, closing due to rent high rents, and due to online shopping being a much bigger thing now than it was just a few years ago.
Strip/shopping malls as a whole are a thing of the past, everywhere.
I recently ordered a 3 ounce tube of first aid cream on Amazon and the seller sent me 15 pounds of a nutritional drink. I had to lug the 15 pound package to the post office and wait on the line a half hour to return it or they won't make an exchange. I'm not a big fan of Amazon.
I've never had anything like that happen to me in all the times I've ordered from Amazon, but I understand where you're coming from. However, I tend to order from the company's Amazon store itself and not a third-party seller.

“Movie theater closing due to slumping ticket sales after recent wave of violence in theater”
Liberal Logic: “no it’s because of streaming nobody goes to the movies anymore”.
When's the last time you went to a movie theater?

His point? What, that people aren't going to the movies because of the outrageous movie prices and because everyone now has a large TV, soundbar, and streaming services?
There is little reason to go to the movie theater anymore. It's a fun hangout for teenagers, and that's about it.
