City has closed welfare office at 1365 Jerome Ave. in Mount Eden, moving things over to another office not far away at 845 Barretto St. in Hunts Point. Fair enough.
It's comments like this that stand out:
"Omawattie Jaman, who lives nearby, told City Limits that she visits the center twice a month, and has fond memories of coming with her mom and brothers. “I can’t explain it,” she said. “The city should keep it open. Because this is the best place. Everybody who comes here loves this place.”
Government assistance in this country isn't meant to aid people into living better, more productive lives -- it's aimed at keeping them at the bottom, forever dependent on the government for everything.

Of course she has fond memories... Used to receiving handouts... I'd be ashamed, but these are the sorts of people living amongst us.
Im starting to think we are the suckers here. People living for free are doing it right. I would not be able to live in PJs though. That **** is whack.

When's the last time you've been in the projects?

It was close and bad enough. I learned a good lesson to never be near it again in my lifetime.
