Kayla Montgomery, Harmony's stepmother, is now charged with receiving stolen property in connection with the gun theft. I've thought all along that she was equally involved in Harmony's disappearance.
Officials from Manchester police, the U.S. Marshals Office, the state attorney general's office and the FBI responded to 644 Union St., where the missing girl's father, Adam Montgomery, and his wife, Kayla Montgomery, previously lived.
Police began securing the area Monday night, and investigators arrived early Tuesday morning, focusing on a second-floor apartment. Before a green privacy tent was set up, investigators could be seen unpacking large scopes. In the back of the building, the Manchester Fire Department set up an incident tent, and large, white piping was going into the building. Some investigators were wearing hazmat suits.
Shortly before noon, FBI agents were seen taking a refrigerator into the building. Later in the afternoon, investigators were seen taking an older refrigerator out of the building and loading it onto a truck.
AG says they now consider this a homicide case and the investigation is continuing. Shocking. No info given as to the reasons for the change in status.
They did say there is “recently confirmed” biological evidence as well as “multiple sources of information,” but gave no details at all.
My guess is that something turned up in the last search they did at an apartment in Manchester. They searched the plumbing and removed a refrigerator. It is surprising to me (knowing nothing at all about this) that anything would last that long - I guess like 2.5 years by that point - but who knows. Just imagine you were currently living in that apartment and they turned up evidence in the fridge in which you’d been storing your food.
I think there are "multiple sources" out there who haven't come forward yet to tell what they know. Adam and Kayla both seem too stupid not to have blabbed to someone in the past 2.5 years.

I forgot they also said that they believe she was murdered in Manchester in early December 2019. That sounds like maybe they have some specific piece of evidence as to WHERE she was murdered, just not enough to say WHO murdered her. They wouldn’t just accidentally or in passing mention “in Manchester.”
Kayla Montgomery, who has been arrested multiple times for the stolen gun charge, welfare fraud related to lying about Harmony's whereabouts, perjury, and various drug charges, has been out on bail and was re-arrested today for failure to show up at a hearing.
On Wed, Adam Montgomery requested a speedy trial on the stolen gun charges, and it looks like that trial will be held in Nov. He is still in jail.
