I was off work all weekend and I have been eyeing a few documentaries. Finally had an opportunity to watch them and now I am interested in other peoples perspectives. I watch these movies and trust that what they are claiming is the truth so any enlightenment is also encouraged. The movies I watched were: The Cove, Capitalism, a Love Story, and Food Inc.

The Cove is about a town in Japan that traps dolphins and slaughters the ones not sold to dolphin parks and exhibits.

Capitalism is a Michael Moore film about out corrupt capitalistic society.

Food Inc. is a look at our food industry in the USA.

They are all good. Capitalism: A Love Story is somewhat simplistic but really entertaining and thought-provoking. It sure is the usual Moore propaganda but who cares?

I will recommend Lake of Fire by the director of American History X, Tony Kaye. Excellent documentary about the abortion issue in America.

"Prison Lullabies", follows 4 women who had babies behind bars, their lives after their release.
"Iranian Kidney Bargain Sale", people sell a kidney because they are in debt, shows lives of these donors and recipients.
"The Charcoal People of Brazil", families making charcoal in Brazil just to survive. Absolute poverty and a nomadic lifestyle.
