Dune (the 1984 version). No contest, not even close.

"The Player" starring Ali McGraw. Only movie I've paid for and walked out on.

It was gratifying, just now when I googled it to confirm the title, to see that the review said "it became known as a disaster".

Darkman

I would've walked out but I was with someone. Pays to go alone.

Moonstruck a close second. I did walk out of that.

I actually liked NACHO LIBRE and DARKMAN. DUNE 1984 not so much.

The worst movie I ever saw in the theater: HIGHLANDER 2. The only movie I have ever walked out of after paying to see it. To this day, I find it one of the worst movies ever made in any genre. And I've seen BEACHES.

Going back many years, Dune, and one of the Police Academy series.

More recently, Deadpool.

*shrug* Questions like this are always about personal taste rather than any objective rating.

FWIW, I LOVED "Deadpool." "Dune" wouldn't make my worst list, although it was a disappointment.

Back in the 1970s, there was a film we played (bookers had to accept certain films to be able to get other blockbusters back then) that was SO bad, we made it a point to tell the few customers buying a ticket - "You can get a refund if you come out before 20 minutes of the film has passed." It saved my putting up with the complaints, or writing free passes. More importantly, by giving out refunds rather than passes, the jerk that made the film and pressured the distributor didn't get any money.

Way down on my list is "Ordinary People." The film wasn't about "ordinary" people, and I'm not even sure the characters being portrayed were even developed enough to be called people. One other film that would have made my list has stayed off it because a big burly friend of mine that saw it with me kept screaming in the theater "WHAT is she DOING with that snake?!?! Oh, noooo!"

The Road to Wellville

A friend used to date a guy who always had access to "free" movie passes, but they were always movies that needed some work, so I think we were a focus group of sorts. We saw a bunch, the only one I remember is the Bewitched movie with Nicole Kidman and Will Farrell.

Gravity. I love both Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, but this movie sucked so bad we got up and left halfway through. First time ever doing that.
