I understand, and that's how it should be, but this is the first official costume reveal. Take it for what it is.


If you expect a quality Superman "film" from James Gunn, you've got another thing coming.

The entire production cracks me up.

"Cavill's costume is too dark" — this suit isn't as bright as Cavill's Justice League costume, either.

"Too many characters, they rushed the team-up in BvS" — Superman (formerly :Legacy) has a roster greater than that of The Flash or Black Adam.

"Cavill's back — no, we used him to promote Black Adam" — they somehow find a guy who looks like his younger brother. (Gunn even tweeted he was "relieved" that he found Corenswet!)

Gunn's plot also sounds suspiciously similar to BvS, just with a lot more (different) characters.

I hate how dull the color is on the shield. The boots are a good bright red, and that red should have been used on the shield too. And the yellow on the shield should have been WAY brighter. And I can't stand seeing all the silly lines and contours on the arms.... it makes the suit look too human, like a sports suit.

As a bit of an aside, I like the way in which in 'Lois and Clark; The New Adventures of Superman' Clark said to Lois when she found out that he was Superman, ''Superman is what I can do, Clark is who I am.'' His was a human Superman, not an alien disguising himself as Clark Kent, but Clark disguising himself as Superman so that he could help people but continue to have a normal life as Clark, who he really was.

That is a good point, and Lois & Clark is the best production of Superman since Donner's Superman in my opinion.
