In the Valley of Elah
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478134/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

It was in blu-ray, I must have picked it up at a dollar store. As a detective film, it is decent. As a drama that tries to convey the emotion of the story it makes, it rather fails. A 6.6.

A nice modern creature feature. Say a 7.2

Kill Switch
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5464234/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2

Another blu-ray I probably bought at a dollar store and it is rather good. Sure, it resembles The Quiet Earth, aspects of Sliders, Terminal Voyage, APEX, and the story Night of Trolls (that's a Bolo story) but it's rather well done. Just a word of warning or two. First, for all the video games one may have played in the past, this one may bring them back to haunt you. Secondly, I suppose that's a risk of watching so many movies, where something in the movie trips a fleeting image in the mind and you are pretty sure it wasn't reality but was it another movie, a dream, or.......

Say a 8.4

Out of Print (2013) on Amazon Prime - 3/10.

Documentary on books narrated by Meryl Streep. They don't cover the library's online presence, nor do they mention young people using it in this manner. That's about 60-75 percent of my use pre co vid. Borrowing kindle books, even watching videos / tv series on their Hoopla. It's like they did a half of their required research and just said good.

Inspector Lewis: Old School Ties
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0877154/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2

It's my first Inspector Lewis and it's okay, holds one's attention even if it is unsure how they come to their conclusions or those special last minute surprises that only they know about. Interesting people, these British, though, that they would make the assumption that snipers can't be women. They obviously don't know Russians, Israelis, or...........TEXANS! Say a 7.0.

Caesar against the Pirates
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056024/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

It's nice but as with any flick that is dubbed, it may be a bit hard to follow, especially when they are talking about a so&so who is now dead, you are wondering now who was that, when he was killed and only to realize in the end that he was just a name in the story. It's dated so you get the feeling that a scene or two was lost.

But it's good, clean, decadent fun, a non nude fantasy but still with lots of great bare chests and heaving bosoms.

Say a 6.7.

Highlander (1986) - The overall movie was good. But not one over my favorites. I've seen the tv series a bit before. But
it was nothing I really got into. The only reason I watched it because Sean Connery was in it. Although his screen time was short, it was better parts of the movie.

7 because of Sean Connery
5-5.5 without him.

Interceptor
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104516/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3

It's a nice fantasy and the aircraft photography is pretty decent but don't expect much reality from it. Further, J. Kenneth Campbell gets pretty decent listing but then turns out with a very small part. The villain is great and even a bad movie can go pretty far with a good villain.....so a 6.0.
