As ancient horror movies go, rather decently made. It's like what what Brinke Stevens said
In Dark Romances Vol. 1 (1990), I'm strapped to a torture device, like a rack. To show my agony, they have close-ups of my face, close-ups of my hands clenching and unclenching and also close-ups of my feet pointing and unpointing as I'm stretched on the the rack. I had to admit when I saw that footage that even my feet have talent! (from imdb)
The camera angles are a lot on the animals to build the tension and it is well done.
It's a good Friday night movie, like The Horror at 40000 Feet, because it greets the weekend in a decent way. Say a 7.6.
Who is in it? I am not coming up with a title for that particular year. I have the one with Patrick Stewart for 1998 but have never seen it, it is in a VHS > DVD library drawer, some day, but if it is that one, then perhaps a similar conclusion.
I forever caught this movie on late night weekend TV in the 80s, maybe the 90s but never saw it completely through, even when I had the DVD decades later. Back in the last century, it seemed to me to be a little bit dry but that may have just been because it was on late night TV. It's okay.......but no where near worth the $200+ I see they are asking now for the DVD copy I have. Be nice to know what the aircraft were in the bomber flyby. Say a 5.0.
What can I say? It's Foyle! While I saw it in part when Mom was alive and it was on PBS, it has been a while and I look forward to seeing more BUT......between stretching out what I have, the War years, and everything else in the library that constitute Men & Women of Steel (Sunday's theme).....it has to wait its turn. A 9.75.
