Yes, I find meditation is really helpful as it helps you to relax and get rid of all the stress.

This clip is OK, you focus on the breathing.

I think meditation might help with depression but maybe you try to do it in very short sessions during the day. A couple of minutes each session, a few times a day. Restrict drastically the carbohydrates in your diet, you'll feel the difference (improved mood).

Take care.

According to me, meditation is a very helpful asana to provide our minds with a state of peace and help prevent stress. It helps to gain clarity and focus. So everyone has to do it regularly.

Been falling asleep with solfeggio frequencies in the headphones. Anyone ever chill with them in headphones because for me it's been really peaceful. Wouldn't it change the matter in the brain if they can for sand. I was normally falling sleep with music on and then finally tried the solfeggio frequencies.

There are a whole lot of different meditation techniques which serve different purposes. I'm a Zen practitioner, and Zen (which means "meditation") is sorta unique. You sit in a comfortable upright position w/ your eyes open, and focused on about 8 feet away. Then you put your focus on your breath right where it enters and leaves your nose. When thoughts appear, and they certainly will, and you notice that you're caught up in them, you just bring your attention back to your breath. A lot of medical places call this mindfulness. 30-40 minutes is the usual amount of time, every day at least once. You have to work your way up to that, most people have to start w/ 5 or 10 minutes.

It's harder than it sounds, which is why you generally only see a handful of people at a Zen Center. The whole idea is to wake you up to reality by getting you out of your head and into the present moment. Not to make you peaceful or place you into a relaxed state, which I think most meditations are supposed to be about.

I practice meditation on God. Kriya yoga techniques. From Mahavatar Babaji. I'm a devotee of Paramahansa Yogananda.
