The actual news is not bad, but the morning presenters, news, traffic and weather tend to get silly at times, supposedly entertaining. Then they repeat the same stories very hour or so, watch an hour then change it or see the same thing again, and that's all 4 of the major channels. In the evenings they are more business-like but unless something happened during that day, it's the morning news just with different presenters. In the mornings now I turn on the TV to the MotorTrend channel and watch repeats of car shows, and check the news online while having my coffee.
Anchors are typically pretty good here, but some of the on-site reporters appear to be inexperienced and oft-times silly. It's a tough, low-paying job though and they've got to start somewhere.
When something happens bad in the Mainstream media Universe, my local news spends 24 minutes talking about the weather.
So, for the last three years and three months, we becoming a bunch of meteorologists.
For
Same in the 802. And when they are not talking about the weather, they are talking about the latest social justice project or how we now have an 'openly *****' female mayor in Burlington.
Fortunately, or maybe not, I live in the sticks.
I will say, though, that we have a great weatherman on Channel 5.....
EDIT....why are you blocking the 'q' word? why is that not permitted? The news media here describes this new mayor that way in every broadcast....
