The amphitheater portion will feature covered and fixed seats, lawn seats, greenspace, dressing rooms for artists, a green room, vendor areas, event space, ticket booths, and other amenities.
I drove by the amphitheater under construction this past week and took the attached photo of the construction in progress. While it was great to see the progress, I was a little disappointed to see very little activity at the Macon mall itself with much of the mall still shuttered and more of the same at Eisenhower Crossing a little further West. I did find this article about the Eisenhower Business Improvement District that is seeking to beautify and improve the stretch from Oglesby Place to I-475.
I hope they pour money into an outdoor shopping area for the mall
Along with a Hotel/condo of some sort
Kinda of like how Centerville did the mall in Houston
Tickets went on sale today for the April 4th 2024 performance.
