There's a reason why Neo-Nazi Skinheads are pervasive in the Houston area and other Texas metros but not in Louisiana. Texas' prison system may be the only one with two competing racist gangs in the Aryan Brotherhood and the Aryan Circle and neither exist in Louisiana's prison system. As far as the OP = apathetic jerk!!

They've got crazy amounts of insects, snakes and etc. that we don't have in Massachusetts.
I suppose most southern, humid states have the same vexation.
this is an actual valid reason

Yet Louisiana's current records system is working for everyone and that is something we can be proud of.

There are tons of bugs and snakes in the rural areas for sure. But the populated areas have half the problem. In all my years in Louisiana, I've never seen a snake in the wild. Moved to Charlotte, NC and saw a copperhead on my walk in a populated area within one month.

Personally, of the 38 states I've been too, I think Kansas is the worst state. After that Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming.

What? How can anyone say this when Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma all exist?

I like Iowa as a state, its a really progressive and tolerant state for a mostly rural white dominated state. As for Nebraska and Wyoming not my cup of tea but they rank better than a lot of rural Southern and Appalachian states in a lot of categories including LA, KY, AR,AL, MS and LA tend to rank last in almost every category.

a lot of those categories arent very telling though, as crime is getting very bad everywhere, roads are deteriorating everywhere and the middle class is drying up. The thing Louisiana has going for it is 1. a lot of culture with unique art, music, and great food which keeps it continuously interesting and 2. really great optimistic people who will do anything to help each other out.
A lot of states have better stats but are way more boring places to actually live.
