The high today is 27 degrees, but that is almost twice what the predicted temp is for Friday, 15 degrees! It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have several days over 100 degrees last summer. We got snow, and they only plow the main streets, so we just hope the sun comes out, and the melted snow doesn't freeze again and make roads even more dangerous.

Making a comeback? I don't see it happening any time in the near future. The state lost Sprint which had brought in some tech people to the KC area.

Anyone that considers relocating should understand real estate and "photo shopping", as when you get here, they don't look the same, as they tweak the photos to the point that I sometimes don't even recognize the houses in the next block! Yes, houses cost less here, but there are less services here, and cultural events, well, the closest thing would probably be the high school football games, unless one goes in the KC area, as Wichita has become not a really desirable place to travel.

Always check local newspapers/websites online to see what is going on before taking a dive into a town/city that you are unfamiliar with.
