This week doesn't help, as we have one week+ of 100+ temps. Last night at 2:00 AM it was 87 degrees!!!

We did, a couple of weeks ago, have 1.5 inches of rain, but that was an exception to the rule. Thirty years ago when we lived in the same town, we hardly ever used the AC, now we go from AC to Furnace with no break. We used to rain, so things are different, not in a good way.

If one is seeing "green" fields, they are being irrigated. Bigger trees do OK, as we have a 50 year old sycamore in the backyard - BIGGEST - and it is surviving, but the roots at this point go on forever. I wish we didn't have it, as trees aren't worth the expense to maintain them.

Sadly, since many of the areas of KS have older homes, electrical stream seems weaker to me. But we have a fancy new meter, and they send us messages every week telling us that we used more than our energy efficient neighbors (Evergy), but they don't take into account how many people live in those more "efficient" homes.

I'm seeing a lot of corn growing were its usually not been growing. Most of it looks pretty good. Maybe some farmers are expecting more rain.
