I love Overland Park! I have driven down that College Boulevard (seen in the last pic) so many times. I've seen that "Planet Hair" mural in Wichita, with Saturn in it. I've also jogged along that river in Wichita, while it was flooding, passing the beautiful Hyatt Hotel. Thanks for the pics!

I drove by the lake last summer and couldn't believe there are houses and a road (bypass) way out there. Also houses up into cleared hills along I-70 in western Lawrence that weren't there before. I graduated from KU in '94.

Lawrence is not growing that fast anymore. Most of the growth occured in the 90s when they built cheaply constructed houses that sold for high prices. A lot of the growth was the result of people living in Lawrence, and commuting to either Topeka or the KC metro.

I noticed the houses you could see from I-70 looked cheaply built and not very attractive. If I moved to Lawrence, it would have to be near downtown. I loved my time there.

The area near Downtown Lawrence is nice, but a lot of the homes need work. Many properties tend to be rentals occupied by KU students.
