It's time to start planning for the 2024 Stock Picking Game.
I like the way the game ran for 2023 (other than the fact I won't win)
The rules:
If you pay attention to my posts (as you all should!!) then you know I'm not a fan of "binary" bets.
The rules for 2024
1. 100,000 total investment
2. 3, 4 or 5 stocks.
3. Minimum placed on any 1 stock is $20,000
4. No Funds/Indexes etc. The point is to choose individual stocks
5. I must be able to look it automatically via Google Finance. So if it's too exotic for Google Finance, you can't play it.
6. No penny stocks. All stocks chosen must have a share price of $1.00 or more.
7. No Crypto bets/stocks
You can give me your choices anytime, and still have the right to alter them until market opens in 2024.
In case it hasn't been said, appreciate you running this thing. It's always a fun game, nice way to pass time, and also a good way to take a risk on something one might not in real life.
Are we playing it where all picks have to made before first 2024 market opening? Or can people enter at anytime during the year before year-end like I recall happened before?

You have me chuckling by your comment, but I am flattered as well. I would have put 100% on Nvidia, but the rules wouldn’t allow it. I wish I bought more in my Roth account. Let’s hope 2024 is a good year for the stock market. It usually goes up in an election year.
I don’t know if I am going to enter next year, but I am eyeing 3 stocks, so we’ll see.
Thanks. This year, I actually OWN all of this stuff. High-conviction selections. We shall see. I suppose a lot depends on rate cuts from the Fed. I don't actually expect any of that until 2025.

I was thinking Organic_Donna should have a handicap for 2024 - say, start with only $80K.
