I think you mean Chuck Sweeney, who has always proclaimed his innocence. There was never a shootout between between Chuck and the police. The police habitually shot out the security light at Chuck's house to intimidate him and make it easier to keep him under surveillance from the woods behind the home. His home was frequently searched without warrant or permission whenever he left to go anywhere.

I am surprised this hasn't been opened as a cold case and with DNA/technology of 2day why haven't these been solved? I would think it would bring closure to the families affected. My heart goes out to them. Vengeance is mine thus sayeth the Lord!
Richard's mother made an inquiry about DNA testing when it became available but was told the coroner did not keep any blood, fluid, etc., samples. There is nothing to test.

Jeff was in drivers ed that year. As i was in drivers ed also. I believe he was in our car we drove for a few weeks then he went missing. So sad and scary at the time, still wonder why the hell they couldn’t figure out the who or why this happened. Jeff was such a good person. And deserve to be treated in such an evil way.

I am working to create the most comprehensive public collection of the material available and will coordinate efforts toward resolution of this matter. It's 2022, cases like these just shouldn't go unanswered, but the government often lets things slip through the cracks. If you have any connection to the area, witness testimony, etc. I would love your cooperation on this matter! But please as with much of what is found on these forums, no speculation or conjecture.
I live in the area and will be starting a "cold case" podcast with one of my friends. Are you still looking for information, have information, etc.. ?

Default Henryville murder

My cousin Brittney Boman was murdered in 2021. She was shot in the face and left on the side of Brownstown Rd on Oct. 2, 2023. Noone has been charged with her murder. She survived 3 months and was able to communicate with us during this time. She was tested for competency to make sure she was of sound mind when she made the decision to to refuse all further treatment and she was found competent to make her own medical decisions. She told police, family, anyone who would listen that a man named "Tommy Edwards" shot her. She was dropped off near the place she was found by a man named Jr Gater. He said they had been fishing that day and she confirmed this. He is the last one to see her alive. We received information from him as well as others she was killed because she found proof Tommy and Tiffany were working with police as informants. I have seen the screenshots of the messages between Tiffany and detective AJ Vissings (detective assigned to investigate her murder) and members of her family were told by detectives that Tommy was also an informant for Clark County police. Her and her boyfriend (Derek Pixley) had had a violent/toxic relationship. She had pressed charges against him and taken our restraining orders, but they always ended up back together. He was the one who found her and called the police. He was arrested for drugs and violating a restraining order. 8 months later. Not charged with murder. She always maintained Derek was not responsible and Tommy shot her. Neither have been charged to this day. 2 suspects named (1 from her mouth) have worked for the county investigating her death. They have never brought in any outside agency to assist them in solving her murder. A call was made to Washington County police department a week prior to her shooting claiming Tommy had shot at them. Nothing was done. There are messages from different people from Brittney that clearly show she was afraid of this man and on at least one occassion, she begged for help/a ride to get away from Tommy because she couldn't call the police for help. Henryville is a small town. Her shooting only made it to the news because we contacted them looking for help. My family just wants answers and someone held accountable. I thought maybe by posting here, someone could help us get them
