I'm surprised we haven't had a post on this yet. I finally made it over there today (I refuse to wait in long lines for food in Houston when there is so much good food) and it seems to have calmed down. Burger was good, fairly pricey though. Anyone else made it over there yet and tried it out?

Nope. I was going to try it at Astroworld but a Korean truck caught my eye. Was going to try it at rolling loud but I forgot. And then at the Rodeo but the line was too long.

I’ll try to make yeah there later this month when I make it back to Texas.

I refuse to have high expectations as this seems like it’s all hype

Nah, there's better burgers in Houston for sure, but I did want to check it out. I'll go back when it's a little calmer. The parking situation is still kind of iffy, especially since they're doing road construction there right on Richmond and Shepherd.

Looks like ole Cal is on a bit of a redemption tour lol. He has to generate a lot of goodwill to make Texans fans forget about the Bill O'Brien years. Great food can't hurt I suppose.

when did the road construction start? My dad has been out there about two times and he was shocked by the long line and he mentioned the parking situation too.

I have no idea when it started but one lane is closed on Richmond right next to Trill Burgers and west across Shepherd almost all the way to Greenbriar. Looks like pipe/utility work. I think one lane is out on Shepherd too, but I came down Richmond so can't confirm that.

The parking is already bad because of the demand, but its even harder to get in and out because of the construction. If I go again anytime soon I'll probably just street park on the next block and walk over.

My favorite two are Moon Tower Inn (the Chong is fire) and Nancy's Hustle. They're both in second ward area on the east side. If you go to Nancy's best to make reservations as its small and they get really busy.
