Could be just aching muscles as he gets more active after being laid up for eight weeks of convalescence. That should get better rapidly.'.. also Low Back Syndrome from laying/sitting around.
Could be from venous blood flow changes after using leg veins for the by-pass. Swelling in the feet/legs?
Was he just started on statins for cholesterol? ,..frequent side effect.
Blood clots from laying around are a possibility, but that's usually just one leg and lower down.
Severe arteriosclerosis in illiac &/or femoral arteries needs to be checked.
Slow internal/pelvic bleeding when on anticoagulants?
TIA, by definition, looks like a stroke but goes back to normal in less than 24 hrs.
