This seems like one of those hard to answer with certainty questions.
My Mom & Dad, for example. Both died at 80. She had COPD, died in her sleep from her one and only heart attack. She smoked up til the day she died (hence the COPD?)
Dad? He had kidney failure, was on dialysis and had some dementia. His demise was slow and I'd say painful mentally & physically--and unpleasant.
Both had the same Standard American eating habits--and very little to no exercise.
One brother is 85, quite overweight, is a sugar fiend and is still kicking around. Does not exercise. Outlived our parents by 5 years. Go figure.
The other brother is 81 and is an avid cyclist. He's pretty fit.
Hard to understand this family dynamic on health and fitness.
