I'm sure all our immune systems took a hit when the whole country went into lockdown for an extended period; you need regular exposure to germs to build immunity. Since then, many are still working from home and generally more isolated. I've noticed I get sick more often since retiring simply because I'm not around as many people anymore.

To be contrary, I don't get sick as often since I retired. I was around walking disease vectors when I was teaching so I'm less exposed.
In January of 2020 I caught something that was "undetermined". General medical consensus afterwards was that it was the first wave of Covid, all the symptoms matched up. To add the kicker, my son in law's office mates had all just returned from Wuhan with all three of them being sick, which he caught and then came up to my house for Christmas. Everyone got sick after that with me being the worst (remember, underlying conditions).
Then I caught something last Spring and then the Flu mid-December.
