The flu virus isn't getting worse, people's immune systems are. Obesity and terrible diets are to blame, IMO. The cascade affect ... eat bad foods, drink soda pop, get fat, stay inside, sit a lot and then... trying to live in a sterile environment.
Why would anyone believe the flu is worse this season? Because someone somewhere ( in summertime ) said so ?
I wouldn't know. Last time I had the flu was at least 20 years ago, maybe more. Haven't had Covid either. On the other hand I am silly, I keep buying flu medicaine just in case, then have to throw it out when it expires and buy more. And for most of those 20 years or so I did not get a flu shot. Only started getting them when I got my first Covid jab. Now, older, makes more sense to me to get the jabs.
I get the flu shot every year and I don’t think I’ve ever had the flu. I don’t know of anyone who has, either. I suppose those who are among the public are more susceptible.
You just hear about it more now because of social media. Years ago, we were all in our own little world.
Plus...vaccine commercials. I'm not anti-vaccine at all, but when you see a vaccine or medicine commercial every commercial break, it makes one think the situation is very dire, and if you're a certain age, you NEED that vaccine or you'll die.
The commercials put it in your face every 15 minutes.

So you don't eat fast food, or shop at Macy's, or visit Great Mountain because they advertise a lot, too?
In the past month my sister got sick, but it wasn't flu or covid, I know 2 people who caught covid.
I haven't been sick in since Nov of 2019
