I was diagnosed w/this yrs. ago - Dr. now hasn't addressed it (from what I've read it's not a cancer) - I've developed vision problems in one eye and I've read that can be an issue. Not really happy w/this doc. so not sure where to go from here and w/the holidays not a good time to try to address it. Just wondering if anyone has had such an issue.

I would think that you have a non-secreting pituitary adenoma if vision problems are your only issue. I would definitely consult a neurologist and probably an endocrinologist as well. At the minimum, an MRI should be done to assess the size of the adenoma since it is compressing your optic chiasm, thus affecting your vision. I am surprised that you have not had headaches along with the vision impairment.

I had a Corticotroph adenoma for seven years that caused Cushing's Syndrome. The tumor was so large it was actually affecting the skull. My PCP was an idiot and kept telling me I was fat even though I presented a classic Cushing's appearance. I was lucky to finally find a doctor who referred me to Johns Hopkins where I had a 9 hour surgery to remove the tumor - best day of my life! Don't wait another minute to find a good doctor - I lived in a rural area at the time and those seven years of having the tumor were absolute hell.

I'm thin - my previous PCP left to go concierge - ARGH. The new one, I'm not crazy about. Got disgusted w/a previous Endo. (he thought the was a comedian or something and told corny "jokes", long waits in the office, etc.

Thanks for your perspective!
