The OTC eye drops help mine. I have to do it throughout the day but they certainly do help. Being inside during the winter is tougher because heaters dry out things.
I’ve had problems in the winter AND in the summer. When the furnace or AC kicks on and circulates the air, it bothers my eyes. I’ve had to stop working for several minutes so that I could put drops in them and keep them closed for awhile.
After using the drops for awhile, it isn’t as awful as it was. Or, at least, not as frequent.
I have bought a year's supply of Boiron's Optique 1 30 dose eye drops for many years and they are the only ones that help me. Homeopathic, safe individual vials. If you search online you can find bargains.
What they could tell me is I am deficient in the "oil" that keeps tears from evaporating.

I just heard something interesting from a friend. After no luck with her first eye doctor, a second one explained that we have oil ducts in the corner of our eye, and sometimes they get blocked. In some case, it can be as simple as rubbing your eyes.
