My maternal grandmother passed in her mid 90's, maternal aunts & uncles passed in their late 70's. Grandfather fell off the roof at 85. I and my little sister take after the distaff side. I'm in ridiculously good health at 68 and I believe I'll last until I'm in my 80's/ (blood pressure 80/60, resting pulse 56)
Paternal side not so good, alcoholic's, all. They all passed in their 50's.

One grandmother died in her 60s, the other at 92, when she was hit by a car walking home from the grocery store. Mom died at 90.

Mother still alive at 77.
Her mother died from a stroke at the relatively young age of 56.
My maternal grandfather lived to nearly 99.
My paternal grandmother died at 93.
Paternal grandfather died in his mid 50s from heart attack.
So there’s a mixture of both longevity and then dying somewhat prematurely.

There's no way modern americans are going to live as long as their greatest generation counterparts... when I look around me and see that almost everyone over age 40 has ballooned up to obese level BMIs. That said, does it really matter how long one lives? Once one's kids are born and raised, the genetic destiny of one's species is complete.

It's not for me to judge how others live their lives, and I won't. For me it's more about quality of life, but starving oneself is an acquired taste, as is working out. If people want to be overweight and happy, more power to them. It's the first time in the history of our species we've had entire societies full of abundance with the level of novelty and variety in adventure we have. Might as well enjoy it.

What we really need now is genetic engineering to fix the flaws evolution left us with, for example the tendency for low back disks to herniate as one ages, or congenial defects like type 1 diabetes, bicuspid aortic valves, high cholesterol that runs in families, etc. Might as well triple our lifespan or suspend the aging process while we are at it, once birth rates in all nations hit non replacement levels and people aren't pumping out kids like crazy in developing nations. Gene re-sequencing is the ultimate way to reprogram the hardware in this matrix. Once we do that we can look at re-writing the laws of physics and other rules to our advantage to for example, travel to points in space instantly. Everything in this reality is basically programs upon programs with an intelligent design. It can all be manipulated. We will in essence, as we evolve as a species, "play God" with this matrix. It's literally designed for us to do just that.

well,we have 2-3 bodies-physical,astral and mental.
You are referring to our physical body, from dust it came,to dust it returns.
so if we just live in our astral body,we would not have all these physical problems.
