My wife went to her first dr visit since turning 40 and they brought up having a mammogram and end-of-life care. I thought it was kind of odd, but giving her health issues...maybe.
Has anyone else had this brought up after turning 40?
Always a good thing to have settled, IMO. Especially if there is any possibility of winding up in a hospital. I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but people younger than 40 die all the time.

That's been one of the things we've been discussing for long while now

Does she have a diagnosis/es that is known to shorten life expectancy?

Mammograms routinely brought up at doctor visits. If she has never had she should. Not sure what of life care is but it is about choices you want to make if you are seriously sick or injured and have irreparable damage to your brain. These are decisions you can make now while still alive and healthy. It is the responsible thing to do and must do and keep the records and give them to your doctors.
