Does anyone even still ask to see cards? I haven't been asked since, I think like March of 2022 to sit down at a cafe (and even then it was surprising).
No and outside of foreign travel it was rare anyway.
Most pharmacies do not give them out anymore because they are useless. I never had one and never was asked to present one. It is just another vaccination these days and is pretty much in line with getting a Flu vaccine.
Everyone can just go on with life now and find something else to be overly concerned about if you are the worrying type.

The CVS app for setting up appointments states to bring in your COVID card, Medicare card, insurance etc for the vaccination.

Same. Never got a shot, never got a card and have never been asked to present one.
It's just another shot. Either get it or don't. No one else's business what you decide.

Since most states and most employers no longer require them, there is no need for proof. Where I work people were let go due to their failure to get vaccinated, we had to show the cards. Now we don't require it and those laid off are welcome to apply for any openings and come back without getting any shots.
I was a part of the original clinical trial for the vaccine. I didn't get any documentation after the second shot. Not even for the boosters.
So.. Yeah.. Since there's really no requirements for vaccination anymore.. It's basically falling back to being like the Flu shot. get it if you want.. But there won't likely be any cards or anything to go with.
I got a booster at CVS and they said they don't give cards any more. They said there'd be an email or something on their website to show I got it. I do have a CVS account but I saw nothing there. I got no email about it.
Is something supposed to show up there??
I doubt I'd need proof of vaccination but there should be something.
Before COVID, I had to provide proof of vaccination for certain things. I don't remember specifically what I was given but I feel like it was a piece of paper that summarized the visit and/or a receipt.

That was where I worked. Had to show the card when you showed ID to the guard to get in. They tied the card requirement to the local declared COVID level so when that dropped below some number we didn't have to show the card anymore.

I kept mine so they can add it to my original one
And I get the print out of the batch/supplier which I email to my PCP via the office portal
So they know when I get a flu/covid/shingles vax
I don’t get them at my doctor’s office
I do that in case I have a bad reaction to a vax and to track long term issues that might appear down the road
Many people who had polio and managed a good recovery were found to develop Parkinson’s Disease decades later—big increase in number of diagnoses were traced back to childhood polio
So since CoVid is new vax seems like good idea to track long term issues
Got mine at Publix on Monday and they gave me a card.
