Apparently I have to do a chemical stress test. I tried the first time and could not reach my target heart rate in the treadmill, my legs gave out. I had to reschedule because I refused the chemical they inject the first time. It scares me because I have heard so many horror stories and the form you sign it mentions heart attack, stroke, etc... with the chemical.

Isn't there any other way they can compete this test? I was only 7 points away from my target heart rate,

Do you walk daily? I've been walking on a treadmill at the Y for a few years now, I walk about 2 miles in 45 minutes, 5 to 6 days a week, so not super fast. This must have prepared me for the the non-medical treadmill stress test since I "passed" it. Maybe try to up your endurance on a treadmill or outside if you live in a climate that is not so hot right now? When does your doctor want to schedule the test?

Exercise bike, either a stationary one like the gym or they have supine ones where you're sort of lying in a bed. You might have to go to a larger facility for it.

Chemical stress test is no big deal. I've had to do it my last two stress tests because of back issues.

Just sit on the table and waive your legs back and forth. A little flushing, never nauseated. The newer meds are nothing like the older ones
