Turns out I shouldn't have been using that cream in my ear that the previous doctor prescribed. I'm using ear drops now. No more shoving thick cream into my ear with qtips (which seemed kind of odd to me anyway). They also rinsed out my ear, and I feel much better so far already.
Good - it came to me later when I posted that I'd gotten drops for mine. Hope you get some relief!

You can't call your doctor? It could be as simple as flushing your ear with a warm water peroxide solution. I'd double check with the doctor before trying this to make sure doing so won't interfere with the prescribed antibiotic treatment. The med needs time to work. Rinsing it away too soon may make your infection worse.
