I can breath better thru my nose laying on my left side, when I turn to the right side I start having to start breathing thru the mouth, is this just an old age thing?

Is this normal ?

You might have a deviated septum. If you do, then that part of your nostril is sort of collapsed or otherwise narrowed, and air won't go through it as easily. I have one, and that'd qualify me for getting a nose job and only having to pay a co-pay with the insurance covering the rest (since it's a medical issue, not a cosmetic issue). Haven't gotten around to it, and I use Breathe-Right strips for now. They work great.

If it's concerning you, have a visit with an ENT. If it's not, but just being annoying, try the BreatheRight strips.
