I am exposed to a ozone air cleaner at work and have been sick for months. I am not sure what to do since no way to prove that is what is keeping me sick. Eyes and sinuses burn, nausea, constant bronchial & sinus infections, shortness of breath, blurred vision and the smell of bleach is permeated into my sinuses.
I had one in my home for allergies but most of the time I used a really good air purifier with a HEPA filter.
The ionizer did help when my friend came to stay with me after her condo burned down. Everything she brought with her made my house smell of smoke. That ionizer took care of the smoke smell. I do remember reading that the ionizers might not be too safe but at least it helped in that case. (Just my two cents as I don't really know that much about them. The HEPA filter system is supposed to be the best.)
I had one of these for a while and I HATED it. The air around it stunk and was dry and my sinuses felt like hell and I finally unplugged it and took it down the street to the thrift shop. I don't understand how they've sold millions of these things.
