So you have to polticize a thread that is about Doctors/Patients?
Pointing out the obvious is hardly politicizing.

Since you decided to politicize my tag - Define other's. Like CEOs that stole people's retirement and wiped out trillions of dollars of investments with their derivative ponzi schemes while they collect millions? Like well connected military contractors that got trillions of tax payer dollars for murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent people?
... many years ago a friend was dating a male plastic surgeon who mentioned something to her about how a woman in for a breast exam had (blank blanks), signifying a state of female excitement, I'll say no more.
Maybe medical students don't understand the rules, but you can get sued for doing a "totally unnec. breast exam." And, who would allow that if it's not pertinent to the diagnosis?? Must be alot of medical students who are immature men trying to play with the grown ups.
Although in this case the dentist's license was revoked, there are similar cases where this behavior was successfully defended against board action. Unreal.
Yeah, both men and women docs and nurses notice...but then you are professional and don't let it bother you/affect your work/responsibility. It's just, "Oh, so-and-so is good looking," and then the thought completely leaves.
And doing a breast exam without looking at the breast? That makes no sense.
I thought my OB/GYn was a professional until I wore a sexy top. His eyes had to stray to my cleavage, he couldn't help himself. Next time you go the the Drs dress well and put on make up and see the difference.
Another female physician here: Agree completely with Mozart. We notice and move on. We've seen it before, we'll see it again. And we've seen EVERYTHING. Really.
So tell me, having had to dissect cadavers in med school, does having a graphic image of what's under the skin wreck sex for you?
Any straight male that still has blood running through his veins notices an attractive female.
I don't care what his job title is.
That doesn't mean he is corrupt or unprofessional. It just means he appreciates the beauty of a lovely woman.
Admiration is not fault.

I've seen all kinds. One of the docs I took my kids to when they were little was great at diagnosing things and was an excellent doc, medically speaking. However, he was also in a constant state of semi-arousal whenever he was around women in examining rooms. I finally quit taking them to him because I got tired of the smirks, etc, and besides that, his wife was a friend of mine. Still another one simply refused to see any female patients who weren't reasonably young and fit. I had a run-in with him just once - I had to have a physical for my job and he had the earliest opening - and he had a temper tantrum and screamed at his nurse and the receptionist about not ever giving him any more fat pigs to see! I wasn't fat, either - maybe 15-20 lbs overweight, but that didn't qualify me as a 'fat pig' either. He wsn't a lot better with men, for that matter.
