If it is a dull pain rather than sharp it could be frozen shoulder. Are you middle aged, that's when it strikes. A doc can inject steroids. My doc wanted to snip but I did PT instead. Though really you can do them on your own. Heat alternating with ice helps. PT did stens treatment but you can buy machines at the drugstore.
Do get it looked at soon. I took a long time to see the doc he said that waiting reduced my chances of recovery to 50/50.
The exercise helped a lot but a few weeks ago I felt a tingling and it seemed to be curing itself. This was 9 months out so don't wait on a self cure.
